Turns Your Mobile Phone into a Portable Media Player with Mobile Actions New Handset Manager v9.2 (from CeBIT)
Mobile Action Technology Inc. (www.mobileaction.com), a global leader in mobile management software, today announced availability of Handset Manager 9.2. This latest product release has new features such as Music Manager and Photo Wizard designed for the new generation of multimedia-enabled handsets. Now Handset Manager users can also use their PCs to upload MP3 files to their handsets, edit photos and transfer file images, and manage their contact database.

Leading handset manufacturers are already developing music-enabled handsets, such as Sony Ericsson's Walkman phone or Apple's iPod phone. Drawing from company's extensive OEM experience supporting major handset manufacturers, Mobile Action's Music Manager has been added as one of the most powerful features of Handset Manager 9.2, turning any music-enabled handsets into iPod-like multimedia players.

"As long as users have music-enabled handsets, they won't really need a Walkman or an iPod to enjoy mobile music," said Fitzwilliam Yang, Brand Manager of Mobile Action. "With Handset Manager's new Music Manager, users gain complete control of their mobile entertainment content for this new generation of music-enabled phones."

The new Music Manager in Handset Manager v9.2 was originally developed for FoneJoy, Mobile Action's multimedia data transfer technology with digital rights management created for content providers to support secure Internet music delivery to handset users via a local PC interface connection. The Music Manager in Handset Manager v9.2 is PC software that allows users to transfer music files between their computer and handsets, as well as create favorite playlists for both user's handsets and PCs, and more, just as you use iTunes to manage your iPod. Handset Manager also allows you to transfer video files, Java game and other multimedia files to your handset.

"Mobile Action offers both consumers and content providers solutions to deliver content to the new generation of multimedia handsets," said Yang, "Our new Music Manager was adapted from our FoneJoy technology for content providers, and allows users to manage their mobile music. And with Photo Wizard. Video Composer and MP3 Clipper already packaged in Handset Manager give users complete controls over their mobile multimedia contents."

The new Photo Wizard has 16 special effects, including color inversion, glowing edges, sepia, ocean reflection, grain, twirl, mosaic, wind, emboss, grayscale, black & white, dry brush, radial blur, ripple, find edges, and sphere. With Photo Wizard, users can easily adjust the brightness and colors of photos taken with their digital camera handsets or digital cameras, and personalize those images for display as wallpaper or in photo gallery of their handsets.

The new contact interface in Handset Manager 9.2 also allows user to more effectively manage their contact directory. They can now add more information, including home/office/mobile phone numbers, FAX, email address, additional notes or information (such as MSN messenger and Skype accounts), title and mailing address. There is also a new installation wizard that makes Handset Manager easier to install in your PC.

The latest release, Handset Manager v9.2, is currently available for most popular multimedia-ready handsets all over the world, including handsets from Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Siemens, Sharp, Panasonic, Sagem, SAMSUNG, LG and Sharp, etc.

Handset Manager supports 20 languages and is being sold in the North American, European, Middle Eastern, Asia/Pacific, South African and South American markets. It supports more than 600 GSM, CDMA and even 3G handset models from well-known mobile manufacturers. To date, there are more than 30 million people in the world who have experienced Handset Manager, making Mobile Action the world's leading developer of mobile management software.
