Mobile Action Adds eCost to Online Retail Channel for Handset Manager (from Yahoo)

Wildcat Communications Group Expands Retail Base for Innovative Mobile Cellular phone-to-PC Connectivity Products

WALNUT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 2006--Mobile Action (http://usa.mobileaction.com), a global leader in mobile management software, today announced that Handset Manager, Mobile Action's popular cellular phone-to-PC data sharing solution, is now available through eCost.com due to an expanded sales agreement with Wildcat Communications Group of Agoura Hills, California.

Mobile Action has partnered with Wildcat Communications to offer Handset Manager products through various online retailers, including eCost, under the Wildcat brand name. Wildcat Communications will offer USB cables and software "Powered by Mobile Action" for the most popular North American cell phones, including Motorola, LG, Samsung, Nokia and other major phone manufacturers' phones. In addition to eCost, Wildcat offers Mobile Action's Handset Manager through PC Mall and other online outlets.

"The new relationship with e-tailer eCost will help us broaden the customer base for Mobile Action's products," said David Bleeden, President of Wildcat Communications. "Handset Manager is the ideal complement to our expanding line of mobile products, allowing customers to make their cellular phone an extension of their personal computers."

Handset Manager allows cellular phone customers to connect their phones to their PCs to share files and manage features on their mobile phones, and supports the sharing of Outlook and Outlook Express address information and calendar synchronization. It can also help users to backup and compose text message and multimedia message (MMS). Handset Manager also includes an MP3 audio clipper and editor as well as a video composer to create MP3 ringtones and short films. One of the new features of Handset Manager 9.2 is Photo Wizard, which is a picture editor that manages cell phone pictures and wallpaper and also provides 16 special effects and brightness adjustment for image files.

An additional new feature of Handset Manager 9.2 is Music Manager, which allows users to move music from their PC to cellular phone, create playlists and more, it is similar to using iTunes to manage your iPod. By utilizing a carrier's GSM/GPRS services, users can get on the Internet with Handset Manager's software and connector. Handset Manager's USB Data Suite, with the software and a USB data cable, also serves as a cellular phone charger for some phone models.
